Free Screening for school-aged children
If you have a child or know of a child that is struggling in school or experiencing any of the signs or symptoms below, please take advantage of our free vision screening. This screening is for children ages 6 to 18.
- Eye strain or fatigue with school work
- Losing place with reading
- Difficulty with reading comprehension
- Headaches with school work
- Difficulty sustaining attention
- Poor handwriting
- Frequent “careless” mistakes
These are signs of visual skill weaknesses, which may be hindering the child’s learning.

- Eye Teaming
- Eye Movements
- Focusing
- Visual Perceptual Skills
- Directionality
- Visual Memory
- Visualization
- Visual Spatial Relations
- Fine Eye-Hand Coordination
Weaknesses in these skills may be causing the child to struggle in school.
We would schedule a one-hour appointment for the screening with the child, and a second appointment with the parents to review the findings of the screening, and to discuss how any weaknesses may be affecting the child’s school performance.
